Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories
Well, hiddy ho its off we go. We left Kamloops May 28/25 for the far north. Tuktoyaktuk is the farthest north you can drive in all of Canada. It is up past the Artic Circle. Follow the yellow bright road.

Leaving home. We are towing a 24' trailer with a slide out. Loaded to the nuts with everything we think we need. Its hot, sunny, and life is an adventure. Hmmm ..wonder what we forgot.
Camp is set up and Kayl is ready to go. Let the fishing begin. She has never been ocean fishing so this is exciting. She is a very good fisherman on the lakes. Hmmm, I see competition in her eyes. lol
this shows us leaving Kamloops to Smithers. I tried blogging on this 'Polar Steps' app but it rather sucked. I gave up..hence back to blogger.
We moseyed along until we got to McBride on the Yellowhead Hwy. Set up camp and spent the night. McBride is located in the Robson Valley by the Fraser River. It was established in 1913 as a divisional point on the railroad and was named for the then Premier of BC, Richard McBride.Ginnie & Randy
From there we carried on to my brother Pat and sister Ginnie's place on Burns Lake. They live side by side on Burns Lake. Both places are a little piece of heaven. Pat & Kay have lived there since time immemorable and Ginnie & Randy have been there just a few years short of that. Pat & Kay
After a night there we continued on to Smithers to my daughter Carly & Nels home. Here we rested for a few days before we left for Prince Rupert. In Rupert, we will be fishing for 2 days with son in law, Nels and Granddaughter Kayl.

One of my favourite drives in BC is the one from Terrace to Prince Rupert. Very picturesque. The drive along the Skeena River, sometimes the road is sandwiched between the railroad tracks and the river, making it a little nerve wracking when driving beside/or passing a train going the other way.
